"Hope is the Thing With Feathers Poetry Vessel" is a hand stamped poem by Emily Dickenson upon a stoneware vessel.
This unique sculpture vessel measures 8 1/2" tall, with the vessel 2" wide, and a 3" base.
“Hope” is the thing with feathers -
That perches in the soul -
And sings the tune without the words -
And never stops - at all -
And sweetest - in the Gale - is heard -
And sore must be the storm -
That could abash the little Bird
That kept so many warm -
I’ve heard it in the chillest land -
And on the strangest Sea -
Yet - never - in Extremity,
It asked a crumb - of me.
- Emily Dickenson
As you will see in one of the images, there is a painting I created with the inspiration of the same poem. "Emily's Hope"
