"Emily's Hope"is an original acrylic painting created during what I refer to as the Central Texas Snowpocalypse of 2021! I sat in front of the window during the day and painted for days and days, until the sun went down. This was one of the final pieces that I completed during my time that stormy week.
Canvas 10 x 10" -- this intuitive painting style is fun and freeing to create.
“Hope” is the thing with feathers -
That perches in the soul -
And sings the tune without the words -
And never stops - at all -
And sweetest - in the Gale - is heard -
And sore must be the storm -
That could abash the little Bird
That kept so many warm -
I’ve heard it in the chillest land -
And on the strangest Sea -
Yet - never - in Extremity,
It asked a crumb - of me.
